How to make Chrome or Firefox default browser on Windows 11

On Windows 11, Microsoft Edge is the default browser experience to navigate the internet, open web links, view PDF files. However, you can change it and make Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox your default browser.

In previous versions, once you installed your preferred web browsing application, you would get an option to switch and make it the default with one click, but that’s no longer the case. Microsoft is more aggressive on Windows 11 to keep you from making Chrome, Firefox, or another browser the system default. However, if Edge isn’t for you, it’s not impossible to change the default browser on Windows 11. You will only need to go through some extra steps.
