The Mail app on Windows 10 makes it easier to manage your emails no matter the service you use, including Outlook, Gmail, iCloud, POP, and IMAP.
Although the app is pretty basic, you can customize various aspects of the experience, including the background image that appears when no email is selected. To change the background image on the Mail app, use these steps:
- Open Mail app on Windows 10.
- Click the Settings (gear) button in the bottom-left corner.
- Click the Personalization option from the Settings flyout menu.
- Under the “Background” section, choose one of the background images or themes that include a wallpaper with matching color.
- (Optional) Turn on the Fill entire window toggle switch if you want the wallpaper to expand to the left navigation pane.
- (Optional) Under the “Colors” section (at the top), choose a different color that matches the background color scheme.
Once you complete the steps, the background will show the wallpaper you selected when no email is open.
To set a custom background image on the Mail app, use these steps:
