How to disable startup sound on Xbox

On Xbox Series X, S, and Xbox One, starting with the October 2022 update is possible to disable the sounds the console plays when turned on.

To disable all the startup sounds on Xbox Series X, S, or Xbox One, use these steps:

Open Settings on Xbox.
Click on General.
Click the Volume & audio output tab.
Under the “Advanced” section, click on Additional options.
Under the “Power & startup” section, check the “Mute startup sounds” option to disable the sounds at startup.
Select the Off option for the “Power chime” setting to disable the sound when the console first turns on.

Once you complete the steps, the next time you turn on your Xbox, the console will no longer play any sounds as it boots up.
