Situatie

The error (error code 7: 0x80040902: 50 –) will show in google chrome when you have tried to update the application.

Solutie

Pasi de urmat
  • Close down all google chrome windows you have open
  • Open command prompt by clicking on start menu and type in cmd then right click on command prompt and select run as administrator

  • If you get a yes / no prompt click on YES
  • In the black window type in taskkill  /im chrome.exe /f  then hit enter
  • Then type in  taskkill /im googleupdate.exe /f  then hit enter.
  • Now reopen google chrome and go to the url chrome://settings/
  • Google chrome will now automatically start to update to the latest version

If all went well you should see Google chrome is up to date as shown above and not the error code 7: 0x80040902: 50.
