If you want to use an extra layer of protection, you can hide or lock your album, so you’re the only person with access.
Solutie
If you want to hide your Hidden Album, follow these simple steps:
- Open the Photos app
- Click View on the menu bar
- Select Hide Hidden Photo Album
Doing this will automatically make your Hidden Album disappear from the sidebar, making it harder to access. But if you need to see the Hidden Album again, just click View > Show Hidden Photo Album.
But to give your Hidden Album more security, you can lock it.
Next to the Hidden Album in the sidebar, you should see an open padlock icon. Click it, and your Mac will lock your Hidden album. From now on, you’ll only be able to unlock it using Touch ID or by entering your Mac’s password.
Some people might not see this option from the get-go. If that’s the case, go to Photos > Settings from the menu bar. Now, make sure you’re in the General tab, then check the option Use Touch ID or password next to Privacy.
