Sometimes, focus problems arise from software glitches. In such a case, one way of resolving them is to update to the latest available version of iOS, if one is available.
Here’s how to check for a new version and to update if possible:

Making sure you’re connected to wi-fi, open Settings.
Tap General.
Tap Software Update.
Tap Download and Install (this step won’t be possible if a new iOS version isn’t available, as pictured above).
Tap Install Now.
